![]() So what my change does is makes it so mending and the curses are still in the drop pool and should also be at about the same regularity you find them in before, but the level of the enchant on a book will be random, so not always IVs and Vs. I've altered the enchant book drop to be "enchant_randomly" as apposed to "enchant_with_levels" as in the base game they are enchanted with lvl 30 "treasure" enchants which is pretty op if you just grind fishing for a few hours, but it is one of the only ways to get mending. And if any datapacks or mods use quality in their loot tables then it'll be useful there. ![]() Some structure chests, and a few mobs, I think cat preasents also are effected by luck so you can get more loot in other spot in base minecraft. Plus if you can use luck potion before opening up some structure chests and get better loot. Also since the bonus rolls are effected by luck and Luck of The Sea raises luck Plus bonus rolls are fun, it's like having looting or fortune for your fishing rod. Using a Luck potion while fishing will drastically improve your catch rates and item drops while fishing using my mod as I've specifically made sure to account for luck in it. I don't think it affects the drop rate with in the bonus roll table, so if you have 0-7, it will be a 1/8 chance on each since there's 8 'choices' from zero to seven. I'm not certain how luck affects the bonus rolls other than that you need luck for then to trigger at all, and more luck makes them more likely. If you want the more common resources and plants and so on, less luck or no luck will keep them around.īonus Rolls will roll the chosen loot table a second time at %50. If you're fishing for the treasure and rare resources, then use a lot of luck. The more luck you have, the greater the impact of quality will be. Every drop has had a quality set for it to way against when you have luck. It also increases the chances of "bonus_rolls" occurringĪn affect this will have on the game for instance without any luck you will get a fair amount of water bottles, whereas with Luck of The Sea III you'll almost never get water bottles, and with the Luck effect, even without LoTS III you'll never get a water bottle. Luck Potions add 1x level to "ck", making loot table entries with a high quality score more likely, and ones with negative quality less likely. These potions can be brewed into their splash and lingering versions as well and tipped arrows can be made.įishing with luck of the seas on your fishing rod will raise your "ck" by 0.15 each level if I'm understanding the wiki. That'll give me the impetus to do it.Īs another addition to the loot tables I've added luck potions to the drop lists. So it just takes time I end up loading into other ideas. I would like compatible version a crossed the versions of Minecraft my pack is compatible with. It just takes time to implement fully and cleanly. So I haven't made time to incorporate other datapacks/mods, but would be rather easy, only tedious to do on your own, and if you ask I will make compatibilities for requested datapack/mods. I personally just spend most my time messing around with world generation to actually play through it. My pack will only work in the vanilla biomes when you find them. If you're playing with any datapacks or mods that have their own biome lists and generation. One unfortunate limit of the pack is that it requires the vanilla biomes to be present. Every biome currently has it's own loot table to pull from although similar biomes will have the same drop tables. For instance while fishing in a swamp you can fish up slime balls or fishing in a warm ocean can yield coral. To apply all of these enchantments onto the Fishing Rod is to achieve ultimate success. This datapack replaces the vanilla fishing loot tables with loot tables that give you loot depending on which biome you're in. Unbreaking III – Increases the durability of your Fishing Rod. There are other ways to find this enchantment, however. Ironically enough, one of the primary methods of finding Mending is fishing. This enchantment is particularly strong with Fishing Rods as the act of fishing rewards enough XP to overcome the durability cost of fishing assuming you use Unbreaking. Mending – Uses XP to mend your Fishing Rod. This will allow you to acquire more items at a faster rate. Lure III – Increases the rate of fish biting your hook. Things like enchanted books, Nautilus Shells, and Bows. Luck of the Sea III – Increases the chances of catching valuable items. First, let’s go over what enchantments we’re aiming for. Combining multiple high level enchantments of high rarity onto the same Fishing Rod is extremely difficult. ![]() ![]() Now this is going to be the hard part, because to acquire the best Fishing Rod we’re going to need all the best enchantments.
